Mike T. and Jerry
Mike, pictured here Jerry, served together in Vietnam with the 268th Pathfinder Detachment, arriving in Vietnam May 4th 1967. In January 1968 Jerry was transferred out and went to the 282nd Assault Helicopter Co. A few weeks later a helicopter was shot down. Jerry was a doorgunner on a different aircraft and jumped out to try and help the downed ship. He never made it there and was never seen again.

In 1999, Donna (Jerry sister) and Mike both went back to Vietnam and the 55th Joint Task Force-Full Accounting Team (Americans and Vietnamese) recovered part of the rotor blade from the down helo. They gave it to us and we sent it home and we placed it at the wall under Jerry's name at Rolling Thunder XIII.  Image © Bill Ray, Rolling Thunder XIII
