Smitty Deer Dianne L. Ray Howard McCarty Memorial Toy Run 99		In September, moments before we were leaving to cover "Street Vibrations" in Reno, NV, our dog Smitty suffered a stroke. We skipped the trip and ran Smitty up to the Neurologists at the University of California Davis Small Animal Clinic, who, together with Bay Area Veterinary Specialialists in San Leandro, saved his life. Smitty put up an heroic struggle and made it to The New Millenium. Taken on December 4, 1999, this is one of the last of our beloved biker doggie, Smitty. The Howard McCarty Memorial Toy Run was Smitty's last event.
