Jeanne Penfold Dianne L. Ray Rolling Thunder XIII		Mrs. Penfold lost her son Peter, on 0ctober 17,1967. A Marine Lance Corporal in Vietnam, Peter, a tank driver, was killed in action. He was only 20 years old. From 1980-1984 and 1993-1994, Jeanne was president of The American Gold Star Mothers, an organization of Moms who lost their children in action. The American Gold Star Mothers was founded after the First World War for the purpose of perpetuating the ideals of Americanism for which their children had so gallantly fought and died. There are over 200 chapters in the United States.
